SCIMHA's IECMH Foundations Certificate is an 18-hour professional development experience that creates a baseline of infant mental health knowledge among all early childhood professionals across workforce sectors in South Carolina. Time spent in this training counts toward IMH or ECMH Endorsement training or renewal requirements.

Audience: All IECMH professionals
Cost: $420 per participant (excluding undergraduate program)
Length:18 hours
Learning Schedule: Synchronous; three hours per day
Content Focus: Theoretical basis and basics of infant mental health
Includes: Endorsement registration fees

Training Content

Module 1: Introduction to Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Reflective Practice
Module 2: Attachment and the Brain in Infant and Early Childhood
Module 3: Pregnancy, Birth and the Post-Partum Period
Module 4: Infant and Early Childhood Development
Module 5: Separation, Trauma, Grief, Loss and Resilience
Module 6: Family-Centered Practices and Parenting
